Five questions that any manager should ask himself over and over again...

The management of a company is an extensive, highly specialised and demanding activity. If you work in management, then you know how important continuous improvement processes are in your company. This is the only way to keep the ship on course - and your company on course for high performance. But do you also know which five questions you should ask yourself anew every day to guarantee your goals and their implementation? And do you know how multi-moment analysis can help you find answers to these questions?

Every manager should always ask himself the following questions:

What are my tasks?

  • How do the tasks and their results support my own performance?
  • How do I know how to evaluate my performance?
  • Where does the "entrepreneurial journey" go and what is the main goal?
  • Are we as a company currently on the right track at all?

These questions are by no means only relevant for you as a manager - rather, these questions should be asked of the entire organization! For this purpose many companies already use Business Process Management tools. In this way a continuous improvement process is achieved. The tools are very powerful - but can be made even more efficient. Namely through the multimoment analysis already mentioned at the beginning.

What are the concrete benefits of multimoment analysis for me in management?

Multimoment Analysis can be used to support the continuous improvement process in a company. By directly transferring and measuring tasks and responsibilities into the Multi-Moment Study, new goals can be defined with little effort - which in turn can be checked with repeated measurement. The multimoment analysis thus makes goals and their implementation completely transparent - which is a key component of the consistent, continuous improvement process in a company.

"We don't have time for a multi-moment analysis"?

Everyday working life - also and especially in the executive floors of a company - leaves little room for extensive studies and analyses. "That sounds interesting. But we don't have the time or the capacity for it! These or similar are often the first answers when it comes to introducing new tools or methods. However, this article shows that neither time nor capacities are excessively strained for the implementation of a multi-moment analysis.

me2any: Enter the practical world of multi-moment analysis
The multi-moment analysis can be integrated into a company in various technical ways. The fastest and easiest way is certainly the planning, implementation and analysis of studies using a cloud service, provided via the me2any website. Butter to the fish: This is the absolute time required for an Multi-Moment-Analysis

A multi-moment analysis is divided into three phases:
- Preparation
- Implementation
- Analysis

The estimated time required to conduct a study depends on its scope. Here are a few indications of the time required:

Phase 1: The preparation
Planning and setting up a study takes between 2 - 3 weeks. The absolute time required is 8 - 16 hours, always depending on the scope of the desired study.

Phase 2: The implementation
The conduct of a study requires the training of the participants. Including preparation, you should expect an absolute time expenditure of about 4 hours. This is followed by a test run, for which you can expect 2 hours on the test day. Afterwards, the next step is measuring, supporting and monitoring. Depending on the amount of statistical factors, a study is carried out over 1 - 4 weeks. The absolute time required here is about 1 second per entry.

Phase 3: The analysis
The analysis of the collected data takes about 2 days, whereby the duration can be considered very variable. The following presentation, deepening and discussion should be calculated with half a day. The last step - the planning of improvements based on the findings of the study - takes 1 - 2 weeks with an absolute time expenditure of 1 - 2 days.
You will notice that a multi-moment analysis undoubtedly requires a little time. However, much less time than you suspected - right?

A perfect day of a sales man

or: How the multi-moment analysis in sales eliminates time crunchers
As a salesperson, time management is without doubt one of the most difficult tasks to master. Giving one customer preference over another can make the difference between a successful deal and a missed opportunity. With invested time, the foundation can be laid for a month of strong sales - or for a severe setback if the time was misused. Sales employees always have several tasks to complete, preferably at the same time, and the day is always too short to be considered the "perfect day of a sales man". Really always? Find out here how the multi-moment analysis can identify time burners, effectiveness gaps and time-consuming work routines in everyday sales life.

What are actually the biggest time killers in sales?

Those who manage cannot actively conduct sales conversations. But without administration there is no way in sales, no matter whether in the office or in the field. It is not for nothing that administrative tasks are among the biggest time eaters that sales people have to deal with. Another time thief, especially for sales representatives, is the prospective customer. Namely, whenever this appointment is cancelled at short notice. As a salesperson, unproductive time often has to be bridged in this case - unless you can immediately switch to other, worthwhile activities. Appointments that have been kept can also waste time - if they are filled with excessive banter instead of goal-oriented, conclusion-oriented discussions. Or take the annual trade fairs. How much time is spent idle as a sales man instead of customer appointments? How often do you "chat" with existing customers at the table instead of fishing for new contacts? Even long-serving salespeople are often surprised how much time they actually spend on unproductive activities during a normal working week. Because it is exactly these times that the multi-moment analysis shows.

The multimoment analysis in sales
Multimoment analysis is a special statistical procedure. The concept is used to obtain data and information within a company or department. The main objective of the multi-moment analysis is to provide data and facts for the distribution of effort. The analysis thus makes it possible to differentiate value-creating goals and activities from time wasters. If, as an active salesperson, you want to know which avoidable work processes waste your time, or if you want to find out how effective your working methods really are, you should allow the multi-moment analysis to take a short break from your work. With little set-up effort, the procedure provides you with all the information you need to increase and improve performance in all areas.

Time is money - this is especially true in sales. Make more of your time now. And turn the next day into your very own "perfect day of a sales man"!

What makes the multi-moment analysis the optimal tool for the manufacturing industry?

In the "classical" industry - mechanical engineering, apparatus engineering or machining - small and smallest details are often important. With workpieces, thousandths of a millimetre decide between success and rejects, with machines, a few kW drive power decide between suitable or unsuitable and in order to get an order, it often has to be calculated down to the cent.

In order to stand out from the competition in such a highly technological environment, not only innovative strength, entrepreneurial skills and technically skilled employees are required. It also requires an overview of all the small details that occur daily in production, quality assurance or administration. This is exactly where the multi-moment analysis comes into play. The Multi Moment Analysis is a special statistical technique that serves to collect data and information within a company.

This is what the Multimoment Analysis does
There are several requirements which are decisive for the success of a company in the manufacturing industry and which must be fulfilled. A prerequisite for success is the optimal adaptation of production to production-supporting processes. To ensure that the components leave the company consistently in the highest quality and on schedule, efficiently organized quality assurance, lean administrative structures and optimal time management are required. In order to increase competitiveness, continuous investment is required - in manpower, machines or both at the same time.

The Multi Moment Analysis Technik provides detailed information on all the above points - and many more - in an easily accessible form. Through comprehensive, yet simple and, above all, data collection in compliance with data protection regulations, the Multi Moment Analysis  answers questions relevant to the company. Does the previously calculated time span fit the corresponding production process? Is the administration powerfully organized or bloated and inefficient? Can simple tasks be delegated to employees that cost less - and what investments can be made to ensure the best possible future for the company?

Does your company also need such answers and additional detailed information? Or are you about to invest in a new area of business, but you don't want to increase the number of your own employees or use outsourcing? If you would like to know whether time is being wasted in your company by unnecessary work steps or whether there is negligence: Just give us a call! We would be happy to inform you without obligation about the many advantages that the multi-moment survey can provide for your manufacturing company. We are looking forward to inspiring you soon with the Multi Moment Analysis  method!
